Visible on the far side of the dam is the foundation of the JK Demoss Grist Mill, erected in 1892 on the foundation of the Adams and Baker Mill, successor to the CW Sprinkel Mill built in 1874 on the north bank of Fall River - at north end of present City Waterworks dam.
